Alumni

FOREWORD

BY OUR FOUNDER AND VISIONARY PRESIDENT

MR. KAGODU THIMMAPPA

On the 39th year of Sanjay Memorial Polytechnic, we continue our journey towards another successful academic year, 2019-20, where some 800 or so new graduates will go forth from this institute and begin to carve their post-college paths, each graduate’s story being unique.

As I imagine them radiating outward from our campuses, diploma in hand, I think about how lucky they are to be entering a new community — our alumni community — the hundreds of thousands of people all over the world who have made similar journeys, each of you having carved out your own path. You’re in every conceivable field of work, in different geographic locations, in families of every description and configuration. Among you are entrepreneurs, scientists, educators, volunteers and public servants. Differences abound within our community, but we all share a similar core platform —Sanjay Memorial Polytechnic— something that unites us All.

To strengthen this community once again, I call upon each and one of you to be an integral part of an active alumni community dedicated to a commitment of service, a belief in access and opportunity, the drive to make a positive difference, and in doing so pave the way for many of our new graduates, lifting them up, sharing the lessons you’ve learned and creating opportunities for the next generation. And as the class of 2019-20 joins the fold, I know they will take it forward by offering a hand up to the graduating classes that follow in their wake.

Today, more than ever, your roots require your dedicated participation to prepare our young graduates to face an ever changing, ever challenging world. So, please join me in setting in motion a rejuvenated network of SMP Alumni for many more decades to come.
